• Friends of the Sea Otter - An advocacy group dedicated to the protection and preservation of the sea otter. Their online store sells otter books.
• International Otter Fund - Another good group working to protect and preserve otters.
• Otternet.com - A web site devoted to otters.
• Meta's Otter Page - Another web site (hopelessly) devoted to otters.
• Sea Otters at Monterey Bay - Secret PSA trivia: I first saw sea otters at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Viewing those amazing creatures led me to my current otter fascination and my subsequent hints to ORA that an otter would be a good animal for the book.
